Alp Grüm (2,091 metres above sea level)

Paradise is waiting at 2,091 metres above sea level. For as soon as the Rhaetian Railway has climbed to this altitude, it is not very much further to the sun terrace of the Albergo Ristorante Alp Grüm. The thick blanket of clouds that is accustomed to settling over the landscape in the early morning has long since disappeared, revealing a magnificent panoramic view over the rugged Val Poschiavo as far as the Bergamo Alps. Looming up to the west is the gigantic Vadret da Palü glacier. Sublime sights of different kinds can also be found in the region's eating establishments – such as pizzoccheri neri and other Poschiavo specialities, culinary delights from the Engadin, Italian pasta and Veltlin wines.
