By train to the Swiss National Park

There could hardly be a more pleasant way of getting there – especially as on board the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), the journey in itself is a fantastic experience. Resembling a fairy-tale landscape, the Engadin glides past the window as inside you settle down in comfort. But before long the train has stopped at the gateway to the Swiss National Park in Zernez, the only one of its kind in the country. Since 2008, the Park's new Visitor Centre has presented all kinds of fascinating background information about the outstanding beauty of the mountains, the primordialness of the forests and the idiosyncrasies of the indigenous fauna. The exhibition on the secrets of nature fascinates adults and children alike.
