La Resgia via ferrata

This attractive new via ferrata, or fixed-rope climb, is located at the southern end of the Pontresina, right behind the Hotel Palü. It leads in two strenuous hours towards Alp Languard and ends right on the edge of the forest. From here it takes around 15 minutes to walk up to the Restaurant Alp Languard, where you can take a well-deserved break and enjoy the panoramic view from the terrace. Getting back down is considerably easier – either with the chairlift or on foot (approx. 45 minutes). The westerly orientation of the rock face means that you can be climbing in sunshine until late afternoon; nevertheless it is advisable to begin your ascent by 2.00pm at the latest. Access to the via ferrata is free of charge.

For children aged 12 years or over; not suitable for younger children.

Level of difficulty: K3 - K4 (key point at the "adlerhorst": K4, requires some strength in the arms)
