Engadin St. Moritz is a paradise for alpinists, both proficient and less experienced. The winter has scarcely come to end than the summer tour season begins. Mountain climbers are treated to optimal high-Alpine conditions right through into October. Anyone keen on bagging an Alpine summit or two is spoilt for choice: with numerous peaks of over 3,000 metres (10,000ft), the Upper Engadin offers an exceptional variety of thrilling tours.
Those who prefer hiking boots and walking poles to crampons and an ice axe can opt for one of the attractive white-blue-white Alpine routes.
