Rock climbing IN ENGADIN ST. MORITZ

The spectacular climb starts just 20 minutes away from the Diavolezza top station: the via ferrata – or fixed-rope climb ‒ on the Piz Trovat involves tackling 500 steps, a ladder and a rope bridge suspended at dizzying heights. The route starts at the foot of the mountain at around 2,850m (9,350ft) above sea level, and after following the western buttress, leads steeply upwards to an altitude of 3,050m (10,007ft), where a rope suspension bridge spans the gorge. The ascent continues right up to the summit at 3,146m (10,322ft), from where climbers are rewarded with a sensational panoramic view of the jagged-edged Pers Glacier, the highest mountains in the eastern Alps, and the icy peaks of the Bernina massif.
