Hiking in Maloja

Along the "water trail" past idyllic mountain lakes, the "iron trail" (via ferrata) up to the summit, or the "glacier trail" to the eternal ice: hiking in the Engadin never fails to be a spectacular experience – and not just for professional mountain trekkers. Less sporty mountain lovers allow themselves to be transported by funicular or cable car up to an altitude of 3,000 metres, where they are rewarded with superb panoramic views. (Up-and-coming) alpinists practise on the via ferrata and children explore the Schellenursi Trail, while six hiking paths specially designed for wheelchairs give disabled people, too, the opportunity to explore the wonderful Engadin Alpine world. A dense network of over 580 kilometres of walking trails is just waiting to be explored.
