Railway

The Chur - Tiefencastel - Engadin journey on the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), with its helical tunnels and vertiginous viaducts, is one of the most scenic and interesting, from a railway building point of view, in the whole of Europe, which is why, together with the cultural landscape of Albula/Bernina, the RhB is aiming to achieve UNESCO World Heritage status in the summer of 2008. Travellers also have the option of reaching Engadin from Landquart via Klosters and the Vereina Tunnel. The journey from the main railway station in Zurich to St. Moritz takes 3 hours 21 minutes.

By car

You can easily and safely reach Engadin by car from anywhere in Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria.

Basel - St. Moritz		250 km		4 hours

In snowy conditions, drivers are only allowed to cross mountain passes with chains or in 4-wheel-drive vehicles.

Autoverlad

Autoverlad (the car train) offers drivers the option of loading their vehicles into railway carriages at Thusis or Klosters Selfranga (Vereina), and to continue their journey to Engadin by rail.

Bus-Shuttle
Zurich Airport – Engadin St. Moritz

The “Engadinexpress” links St. Moritz, Pontresina and Silvaplana with the international Zurich Airport. Guests arriving at Terminal 2 from abroad can travel direct to the Engadin without having to change trains. Between 3 January and 27 March 2010 the shuttle departs from Zurich Airport 19.30h on Fridays and at 09.30h, 12.30h and 19.30h on Saturdays. The single fare cost EUR 50.-, the return fare EUR 85.-; children under the age of 12 are granted a 50 % discount.

Minibus services on request to and from the airports Milano-Malpensa, Milano-Linate, Bergamo, Zürich-Kloten and Basel-Mulhouse direct to your hotel in Engadin St. Moritz.

By air

Engadin Airport provides connections to the international airports of Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Milan and Munich, as well as air-taxi connections to many other national and international destinations.
