Corviglia: Skiing IN ENGADIN ST. MORITZ

Early risers swear by the “White Carpet”, the first ride down the freshly groomed pistes: at sunrise you can be up on the Piz Nair (3,057m/10,030ft) facing spectacular views, 100km (62 miles) of runs of World-Cup quality, and the Corviglia Snow Park with its 30 obstacles – regarded as one of the finest in Europe. Those who prefer a rather gentler experience can opt for the 3km (2 mile) Paradiso piste designated for “ChilloutRiding”. It is the wide range of options on offer that mark out the Corviglia, and St. Moritz and Celerina’s local mountain is quite rightly one of the world’s most famous snow sports playgrounds – thanks, also, to its celebrated “champagne climate”.
