Sleep among the ice giants

At around 5pm, the last skiers head down the mountain. Few people remain here, 3,000 metres (9,843ft) up. Beyond the windows of the restaurant of the Berghaus Diavolezza, the mighty Bernina massif, vast glaciers and the highest rock pinnacles of the Eastern Alps glow in the last light of day. In this magical atmosphere, the chef de cuisine serves up Graubünden specialities, along with delicacies from the neighbouring Valtellina. Those who wish can enjoy the stillness of the alpine night from the highest-altitude Jacuzzi in Europe.
