Activities
A little lexicology for great experiences.
Wedeln. Carving. Riding. The vocabulary describing locomotion on snow is as varied as the wintry ski-run enjoyment in the Engadin St. Moritz region. With its four ski resorts and 350 km (217 miles) of pistes, Switzerland's largest skiing region has something for every winter sports enthusiast.
Gliding. Swishing. Crunching. These frequently forgotten sounds emanate from the gentler gaits that can be seen in the sun-drenched high-lying valley. They come from the180 km (112 miles) of cross-country ski trails, 150 km (93 miles) of prepared winter hiking trails, and countless ice rinks and toboggan runs.
Inspiration. Fervour. Happiness. These become clearly perceivable when the spectacular wintry landscape is combined with an exhilarating experience – such as a bob taxi ride on the world's only natural ice bob run, ice climbing opposite the Diavolezza ski gondola or a trip on the Rhaetian Railway along the famous stretch of railway all the way to Italy.
Pause. Discard. Revive. These are abilities that you now have thanks to the unique range of recreational activities open to you during your vacation.
