Zuoz

The village heart of Zuoz is said to be the prettiest in the Upper Engadin. But while this community of 1,200 souls may be rooted in tradition, the resort has also moved with the times in an exciting way.

The charming family ski area with two chairlifts and three ski lifts, the children’s ski school with its ski kindergarten, the Sur En cross-country ski centre and the network of idyllic winter walking trails ensure that Zuoz has plenty to offer visitors today – and in the future, too.

The stylish Hotel Castell with its sensual hammam provides a lively splash of colour – as does the highly original Restaurant Dorta. Culture fans will enjoy strolling through the historic heart of the village with its proud patrician houses, which are particularly well preserved here. Gourmets, meanwhile, should pay a visit to the highest coffee-roasting facility in Europe – and learn all about the history of the delicious drink at the Caferama Coffee Museum.
